Bio:

I edit stories from the Northwest for NPR. My “work hobbies”​ include podcasting, demography, filing from the field, membership drive air shifts, outreach and panel moderation. I also oversee the Patricia Fisher Endowed Scholarship for the Seattle Association of Black Journalists, and I judge broadcasting awards for the Third Coast Festival and the Education Writers Association. I have been a reporter, an editor and a software engineer. My work has been recognized with an Edward R. Murrow Award, two Gracie Awards, two Salutes to Excellence from the National Association of Black Journalists and two UNITY Awards.
