Senior digital producer
Jessica Estepa is a storyteller and a self-described news junkie/social media butterfly based in Washington, D.C. She currently works as a senior producer at National Geographic, where she leads the organization’s digital distribution efforts. She was previously a digital editor at USA Today, guiding digital news coverage in the evening, contributing to the organization’s politics coverage and co-writing the For the Record newsletter. Additionally, she was a reporter for E&E Publishing, covering fisheries, oceans, wildlife and other natural resources policy news on and off Capitol Hill. She also wrote feature stories for and worked on the production side of Roll Call, a Capitol Hill newspaper.
A native Nevadan, she attended the University of Nevada’s Reynolds School and worked at a number of places in the Silver State, including the Reno Gazette-Journal, before departing for the East Coast. For fun, she volunteers with the nonprofit 826DC and sings with the Capitol Hill Chorale.
