Company:
NPR
Job Title:
Editor III
Bio:
I am a 2019 fellow with the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard, spending an academic year studying how comedic journalism — the intersection of humor, satire and journalism — can help journalists connect with their audiences and build community.
I’m also a seasoned digital editor with experience brainstorming and implementing digital features; managing digital producers and interns; editing digital stories; and writing promotional text such as teasers and social media pitches. I excel at collaborating with editors and reporters from other media platforms to create complementary digital content.
I love pop culture, arts and entertainment, and have laughed loudly on NPR’s Pop Culture Happy Hour podcast and Facebook Live segments. I sing show tunes, dance randomly, take acting and improv classes, perform at storytelling events, front a band made up of NPR staffers and dream of being a bass player. Or Sarah Vaughan. Whichever comes first.
